Mitutoyo launches Innovations in Precision Metrology at Intermach
At Intermach, Mitutoyo is presenting innovations in precision metrology, with two launches that stand out for their level of innovation and their ability to meet the specific demands of modern industry. One of them is the Formtracer Avant H3000, a roughness and contour meter with a high-precision circular arc scale and a new sensor arm, which together take the reliability and detail of measurements to a new level. This equipment has been developed to meet the growing demands for quality and traceability in measurements on complex parts.
Another precision metrology highlight is the SJ-220 Portable Roughness Meter, which combines ease of use with robustness and advanced technology. Ideal for direct measurements on the shop floor, it is compatible with international standards and adapts to a variety of surfaces and applications, making it a versatile solution for dynamic and demanding industrial environments.
Precision metrology plays a fundamental role in reducing waste and in the conscious use of materials, as it avoids rework and ensures that every part manufactured is within specification. This philosophy guides all Mitutoyo equipment, such as the renowned QuantuMike Digital Micrometer, which measures up to four times faster than conventional models, with high resistance and accuracy even in aggressive environments. One-handed operation and durability are differentials that contribute directly to efficiency on the shop floor.
Another outstanding piece of precision metrology equipment is the Mistar 575, a CNC coordinate measuring machine developed specifically for challenging industrial environments. With real-time monitoring sensors and predictive maintenance capabilities, it is perfectly aligned with Smart Factory concepts, offering agility, reliability and integration with digital systems.
For optical measurements, the QV Apex PRO is a state-of-the-art CNC solution for precision non-contact measurements on parts with complex geometries. With precision and agility, this system optimizes inspection without compromising the integrity of the parts being assessed. The range is complemented by the Roundtracer Extreme, an all-in-one device that performs high-performance shape, contour and surface measurements in a single process – reducing time, costs and production steps.
CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY IN PRECISION METROLOGY
Far beyond the equipment, Mitutoyo invests heavily in specialized technical service and local presence. With headquarters in Jundiaí (SP) and branches in Curitiba, Joinville, Porto Alegre and Buenos Aires, as well as technical support in Manaus, the company ensures agility, proximity to the customer and in-depth knowledge of regional demands. This operating model strengthens relationships with industries, promotes market intelligence and guarantees quick and effective responses to those who use precision metrology solutions.
Another differential is the emphasis on connectivity and sustainability. Mitutoyo understands that the data generated by its precision metrology equipment is strategic for quality control and decision-making. That’s why it continually invests in solutions that enable intelligent data management, connecting instruments to production systems and contributing to the digital transformation of industry. The use of real-time data improves traceability, enables predictive actions and reduces losses, which, in addition to increasing efficiency, contributes significantly to sustainable practices.
